By
application, the banjo dulcimer market divides into pop music, folk music and
blues music. The dulcijo comprises a metallic string and it was only natural to
recombine both dulcimer and banjo to arrive at what is now termed as dulcijo.
The banjo output could be either D-A-A or D-A-D. The subtle tones of a banjo
are legendary giving into natures sound and are an attribute of wood and
handcrafting gives it the extraordinary sound. The structure is such that a
teardrop head shape tapers into the 7-string frets with embellishment such as
carvings adorning the front end.
Four,
five and six string resonators and backless banjos are the more popularized
instruments and many leading designs and brands such as Ashbury, Deering and
Oza have lent their craft to these types. Typical designs have alternating string
sets and are fortified with navy nylon case. Hiking, camping and on-road take a
liking to old-timer series, a banjo and rambler is made for children.
The
hammered dulcimer and fretted dulcimer are two of the most anglicized versions,
found in English cultures or native England as in the British Isles. Both
mountain and hammered dulcimers are unique and handcrafted and not available in
musical storefronts. Both have a common bond. They both are made of wood, have
strings and have resembling names. Luthiers is the place that stocks these
banjos. Dulcimer festivals set the stage for sale of dulcimers directly from
Luthiers.
